Imagining the Zelda Franchise's Future
After reading the 56 page "The Legend of Zelda Timeline and Analysis", it got me thinking about where will the next game fit. Before I would have probably assumed the next game would come after the last game, but now I'm thinking in a much more creative way. Like instead of adding more to the already epic story, how about they fill in some smaller yet memorable stories. I have two ideas of my own that I just want to express whether this happens or not it doesn't matter.
Hero of Time Grows up
The last story for the Ocarina Link, being my favorite Link being that I grew up with the Nintendo 64, would complete a mini trilogy. The Mini trilogy would consist of Ocorina of Time, Majora's Mask, and made up game where the Hero of Time ages. This would be his last hurrah, where he dies or even more interesting becomes the "Hero's Shade" From Twilight Princess.
Adult Timeline and Alternate timeline Connect
Zelda games have always been about multiple realms, even the analysis goes on to explain the "Spirit Realm Theory". The one thing bugging me about the released official timeline is why does one game get the exception of creating multiple timelines. If we had one game that had link bouncing back and fourth into the two splits, it would rid all my complaints about what was made official. It would nudge me into thinking, "ohhh that's why it was important to ask, what if Link died???"?
Of course this was only me imaging, and has nothing to do with me trying to fix the franchise... it was never broken.
